As I was eating breakfast this morning, I overheard a conversation between my dad and my litte bro. Dad was explaining the meaning of Memorial Day to him: "We remember all the people who fought in WWI and WWII, Vietnam, The Civil War, all the wars, and realize that if it weren't for the soldiers fighting, you wouldn't be here cracking an egg... we might have been speaking German if there wasn't anyone protecting us. We wouldn't be free." That really sunk in. So now I get to the point of the meaning of freedom. Freedom is a beautiful word, but its meaning is many times misunderstood. Freedom is being independant, but there really are still boundaries. You are not stopped from going anywhere... that is, unless you overstep the boundaries. These boundaries are laws that are enforced by authority. You overstep the boundaries when you break the rules. the rules are there to help you. So this Memorial Day, feel free to have fun and enjoy a day off(if you have one), and remember the guys (and gals) who fought for us, and follow the rules.
Ok, the lecture's over, so lets get to the fun stuff! My mom has this tendancy to make a pun without meaning to (its hysterical), and so when she came across my plush doll lovingly named Flossie, with a leg missing, just sprawled on my bed, she told me she 'just fell apart'! So, yeah... my mom's humorous without even meaning to be. Then there was something that came up about dresser drawers, and she said '' I hope your pants are in drawers!" Superman! Hoho...Yeah...

As your mother, I am compelled to say two things. 1)Review contractions 2)Don't forget the women who fought for us, too!
