My mom knows best...only one or two times that I remember her slipping up. She's Awesome, she's fun, cool and dramatic, and there are so many things left that she and I are trying out. Like circles and polka dots. I've just changed all my computer settings to things that have to do with circles and dots. One of my favorite types of ice cream happens to be Dip'n'Dots. You know, the ice cream of the future. Mom dosn't hate circles and dots, in fact, she just bought a really cute fun dress for her 15th highschool reunion with little circles and dots on it. It's fun to do things together.
MESSAGE TO MOM: If that dress shrinks in the wash, can I have it???
As I was saying, moms and daughters should stick together. I know most teens don't want anything to do with their parents, but if their mothers bring them up to share everything with them and do things together, this country may grow to be a more united 50 states. That goes for dads and sons too. My brother and dad can get into fights, but in the end, they're wrestling and tickling and doing all sorts of fun stuff! Right now my dad has a lot of things on his agenda. We don't get to be with him all the time. He dosn't like it, I know, and neither does the rest of the family. We make our time with him the best we can.
So, make your time with your family the best ever.
Here are some tips to help bring a family together:
- Have a family game night. Pull out the old deck of Uno cards and have some fun.
- Take turns picking a family friendly movie and grab some popcorn for a movie night. My dad makes killer kettle corn. Yum!
- Pop in a CD and rock out in the car! I know it sounds crazy, but it's really fun to see how others in the family interpret the lyrics!
- Go out to dinner at a family restraunt, or even better, pull out the cookbook and each make a different course of dinner...Mom- Soup or salad, Son- Main meal, Daughter- dessert, and do it so you can surprise dad when he walks through the door. Forget TV dinners. Turn off the box and talk to each other. It's a really fun thing to do.
- Take a hike...literally! Go to the nearest trail and explore your surroundings.
Oh... and about those dinners, I do not suggest pork, ham, sausage, bacon, or any other like products. It just would not do for a family dinner!
Remember: Save the pigs!
Best post yet! I agree whole-heartedly! :>)
