Humanity

This morning, my mom, brother, and I went to a house in town that was being redone by Habitat for Humanity. It was completely repainted, all the cabinets and other fixtures had already been installed. It was truly beautiful. Everyone there was commissoned to a major cleaning job. All three floors were to be scrubbed clean. I was assigned to dusting the walls with a handy-dandy Swiffer :). After that, the baseboards and and doorways were cleaned. Then the floors were vacuumed. Every room in the house was simply shining when we had finished. It was an amazing opportunity for me and I really enjoyed it. I didn't even mind that I was cleaning! The family that will be moving in has three young children: one girl, two boys. They're very cute. They will certainly enjoy their new home.

In April this year, I will recieve the Sacrament of Confirmation, and I can't wait! I'm also excited because that means I'm closer to high school than ever. I'm really looking forward to spending every day with my best friend. Right now she goes to a different school :(. It also means that I can get a Facebook and that will be so much fun! I will be able to keep up with the family members I can't see on a regular basis because of distance. My friends almost all have Facebooks, too, so that will be fun.

Favorite song update: The Call (Regina Spektor), This is Home (Switchfoot), and I Belong (Kathryn Scott), You're Not Alone (Meredith Andrews).

As you can see, I've changed my layout, etc. I think it fits me better now :)
