The sun came up over the horizon at a fascinating pace. Awestruck, unable to even slightly move, I watched the glimmering rays drown out the glimmer of the moon and the shimmer of the stars speckling the now many-hued sky. Seeing this made me feel a bit sad. The stars have always been something...well...for lack of a more sophisticated term, special to me. I hated seeing them all disappear into the golden mane of the Sun...or should I say, the Son. The golden mane...hmmmm, that sounds familiar. Aslan, maybe? The Son of the Emperor Over the Sea. All of the beautiful and brightly shining stars, all becoming part of Aslan, or the sun! In The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, the bit while they are all on Ramandu's island, the retired star and unnamed daughter are of course stars...and they say something along the lines of saying that stars in our world are flaming balls of gas, but that's not what they are. So I look at the stars every evening and think of what they might truly be. I will be a star, along with all of my Knights and Ladies...Princess Elwen will become part of Aslan. His family. His heart. His love. His beauty. Anna, Peter, Edmund, Lucy, Polly, Digory, Eustace, Jill, Caspian (all of them, perhaps), my true Narnian family and I, all joined with Aslan! It's really amazing to think of. No wonder stars are so magical to me...
"Mysterious, that's what I call you...I'm curious, about you. I'm scared and I'm not sure if you are safe, but your eyes seem to say that you are good. This is not a dream that I'm living, This is just a world of Your own, You took me from all that I knew, Shown me how it feels to hope. With You with me, facing tomorrow together I can learn to fly. Feels like I'm living in a lion's mouth, but the lion is an angel......." Rebecca St. James: Lion

How true are those words pertaining to Aslan? That is SO profound. I am overwhelmed listening to it...it melts my heart! Ah, well, the princess has business to take care of, so goodbye for now!
Once a king or queen in Narnia, always a king or queen in Narnia.
